What is Self Sabotage?
Self Sabotage is often the result of reoccurring trauma, long term trauma or otherwise known as C-PTSD (Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).
Self sabotage prevents a person from allowing themselves to feel “too happy” because their trauma is wired to warn them of impending doom. Self sabotage can also prevent a person from building healthy, happy and meaningful relationships, due to the fear of losing someone or not receiving the love, care and support they once lacked.
Self sabotage is keeping yourself at a “nonchalant” state (not being “too happy” and not being “too sad”).Self sabotage refrains from taking risks that could potentially benefit one positively, whether it’s their career, relationship, creative passion, friendships or addictions.
Self sabotage can be seen in many different forms, but if you or someone else is struggling with this, just know that everything is okay. Whatever happens, you will overcome it.
Allow yourself to feel the essence of every good and bad moment. As you cannot prevent the downfalls in life, you become stronger when you know that you are allowing yourself to feel the uncomfortable, bitter and stressful moments in your life.
